Yard Attendant

Darigold is seeking a motivated Yard Attendant to join our NEW Pasco Plant. This role is pivotal to ensure timely delivery and storage of the finished good we produce. The Yard driver is responsible for moving loaded and unloaded semi-trailers to designated areas on the property. Keeping track of trailer counts and conducting safety checks on various equipment. As a member of the Warehouse team, the Yard Attendant should possess the desire and ability to contribute to the overall success of the plant. Our plants create nutritious products 24/7, 365 days a year. As such, all Darigold employees are expected to follow all Food Safety and Quality requirements as outlined in Darigold's Good Manufacturing Policy, Standard Operating Procedures and facility employee training sessions.

The ideal candidate for this role excels in a fast-paced environment and can handle multiple repetitive tasks. You are dedicated to executing excellence in the tasks that you are assigned by the Warehouse Manager. You should also believe in working with others to achieve team goals, while also effectively work independently without direct supervision.

What You Will Do

• Move trailers on property with yard truck when transfers are needed
• Communicate with warehouse and shipping teams
• Conduct pre and post shift inspections on equipment
• Keep accurate records of trailer locations in yard
• Report damaged or unusable trailers
• Clean out empty trailers
• Maintain a clean trailer yard
• Adhere to all safety and food safety procedures
• Work outdoors for most working hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• 2 years spotter experience
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask
• Follow detailed instructions
• Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision and perform efficiently
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to move 55 pounds repeatedly
• Willing to work nights/weekends/holidays
• Willing to work in all types of weather environments
• Able to stand and walk throughout a 12-hour shift
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to meet attendance and punctuality standards
